PKD-2019 / Ghost Lighting Upgrade
The Lighting Upgrade was based on the AndersFP 3D files. It uses a 3.7v LiPo battery (Not included) for longer play sessions. Connections to the two green LEDs are via the pairs of 5mm magnets (Not included either) embedded in both the Blaster and the Ammo clip for seamless electrical connection. The upgrade also includes a 3D Printed switch cover and a simple USB-C LiPo charger for added convenience. Instruction Manual is also included which gives tips for further modification (which, if you do, I can’t offer support if issues arise after changes are made). Perfect for electronics enthusiasts looking to take their blaster to the next level!
PKD-2019 Version
- Uses Red LEDs (4x 3mm diffused & 1x 5mm Tophat)
- Alt Mode: Side LEDs ramp up from dark to light, bottom LED blinks.
- Uses Lipo Battery (Not included)
- Has Orange Blinking Status LED
USB-C LiPo Charger
- Accepts JST 1.25mm connector
- Accepts JST 2.54mm connector
PKD Ghost version
- Uses Ice Blue LEDs (4x 3mm diffused & 1x 5mm Tophat)
- Alt Mode: Side LEDs have ‘heartbeat’ sequence.
- Uses Lipo Battery (Not included)
- Has White Blinking Status LED
Dual LiPo Battery Connectors
The PKD Boards are able to take in LiPo Batteries (Not included) that uses either JST XH or Micro.
- Accepts JST Micro 1.25mm (2P) Connector
- Accepts JST XH 2.54mm (2P) Connector
- DO NOT INSERT BOTH LIPO BATTERIES TOGETHER
- BATTERY IS NOT INCLUDED
ONE PAIR OF GREEN LEDS
Do note they were never shown to be lit in the Movie due to some last minute production changes.
- 2x 3mm Green LEDs are included
- You might want to re-colour to simulate original darker green
- Connected via magnets (Not included). If your blaster was printed with metal, the magnets and wiring might not work.
3D Printed Slide Switch Cover
The 3D Switch Cover fits over the Board’s slide switch to mimic the original component.
- Printed in light grey resin
- (Might require sanding)
ADDITIONAL 3.7v OUTPUT
As long as the Board is switched on, there is an extra 3.7v power for other circuits. Power drawn depends on LiPo battery.
- Uses a Dupont 2P connector.
- There is no reverse polarity protection.
- Powers off when the Board is OFF.
DUAL LIGHTING EFFECTS
Each version of the PKD Boards has its own alternative Lighting sequence which can be activated via the MODE selector switch.
- Both Boards have Normal and Alt MODE Lighting Sequence
- PKD-2019: Side Red LEDs glows from dim during startup & bottom LED blinks
- Ghost: Side Ice Blue LEDs have ‘Heartbeat’ sequence
CUSTOMISATION OPTIONS
The Boards’s LEDs can be changed to different colours. However, if it does not work after that, you’re going to have a very bad day.
- 4x 3mm LEDs can be replaced (requires appropriate resistor)
- 1x 5mm Tophat LED can be replaced (requires appropriate resistor)
- Lighting Sequence is fixed and is Board Dependent
Some words of Precaution
(Please read them)
- If you are getting or printing metal 3D parts, you might want to plan about insulating the 8x magnets from them. The magnets are used to carry power from the battery (in the ammo clip) to the green LEDs (at the screwdriver).
- The Switch cover has a very thin square base and can easily snap. I am sorry if it arrived in that state. I will try to get the 3D file downloadable in the near future.
- More information will be updated once I get feedback from the test samples since I do not own a PKD Blaster.

The PKD-2019 3D Switch Cover .stl File
BEFORE YOU CLICK ON THE DOWNLOAD BUTTON
[27.01.2025]
The file was originally designed using SketchUp Make 2017 and then exported to .stl format. Thanks to TheRPF member dcast who salvaged and converted the file into a 3D printable format so you can download it. Do be aware that I’ve never seen the actual prop switch and I just made it as best as I can from several images on the Internet. Maybe you can modify it into a more accurate version and hopefully, share it with other Replicant Hunters…
