20220714 1615 Orange White LED

Finally, the bi-color LEDs has arrived. I was searching for them for weeks. and I did not know I needed them. Actually, I just wanted a bi-colour LED that has an Amber (Orange) LED in already. Ok, maybe even yellow. I don’t mind pairing with other contrasting colours except red. Ans it must be about the size of an 0805 LED. I have seen a few combinations such as red/green, red/yellow, red/blue, blue/green and red/white. But never orange/white. So, it is a must have.

Initially, my order was cancelled by the eCommerce Platform because the Seller was not able to respond in time. I was slightly disappointed as not only would I need to restart my search but it would take some time before the money is refunded. This LED is not cheap either.

Before accepting defeat, I messaged the Seller a few days later, which he responded. Apparently he suffered from health issues but he is OK now. So, I re-ordered the LEDs again.

The 1615 LED is actually two 0603 LEDs side by side, making it slightly fatter than an 0805.
But it is still tiny.

Just like the 0805 orange LED, this orange colour is the same
It does look good with the Mobile Phone camera but irl it is a little too intense,
The white is pure white, but the phone camera makes it as if it is bluish white, which is OK for me.
One step towards to finishing the Lower Interface PCB design.
Man, should I change the resistors to 0603, which is so much smaller than the pair of 0805 on the right?
