THE MCO OR WHY WE SHOP ONLINE NOWADAYS
The Malaysian MCO (Movement Control Order) affected a lot of Lives during the Pandemic. Shops either had to close or, conform to certain restrictions. Most of us were on standby and so, I wanted to get some Projects done, hoping to raise some cash.
The idea is to light up some miniatures in a Photo Frame. Because Model and Electronic Shops are deemed non-essential, I could not get what I needed. And that puts the kibosh into my plans.
Fast forward to 2022, I got the chance to visit IKEA and the idea resurfaced. This time, the idea has evolved. So, before I can start anything, I need to re-plan since the working height is only 12mm.
So, I would most definitely be using LiPo batteries to fit into that height. Originally, it called for an external 18650 battery charger but I’ll have to re-measure its dimensions to see if it can act as part of a stand as well.
IDEAS CAN KILL
Ideas usually come to me and gather steam at the back of my mind. The more I think or, ‘process’ them, the more they expand. The ideas are always in a flux until suddenly, it can become overwhelming. Sometimes, I need to just sit down and clear my thoughts or well, try to talk to other people who share the same, um, flow? Sadly, this is how I work and the Pandemic found me feeding more into my overthinking, enjoying being alone and the bouts of feeling overwhelmed and sadness.
Maybe this is depression?
Anyway, I consider myself lucky as I am able to step back just in time and be aware of this dark but wonderful concept.
This took me about 45 minutes, from measuring the photo frame to completing it in SketchUp.
