The one thing I hate about Projects is the Manual writing part. In the beginning, it was fun but now, it felt more like a chore. Based on the experience on the previous Product, I was quite concerned that many who has bought it did not RTFM, as in Read The Fragging Manual. I am not ranting because of that but, the resulting consequences would meant me staying online at weird times of the night, helping them to rectify the issues during their installation. Despite all that, I have learned another lesson which is, the reliability of the green LEDs. Somehow, even after being tested throughout each stage, they seem to end up DOA (Dead on Arrival). I can solve the issue with included extra LEDs but with a 25% failure rate, this is high. Then again, I have no idea what happened or, was done to them once it leaves my hands.
My fear is that, once it arrives in their hands, most would be too excited and start plugging the battery or whatever power source they have on hand. My Products are literally plug and play; once you open the box, connect the battery and you’re ready to go. In one trouble-shooting session, it was clear that the Customer did the boo-boo even though the battery connectors were designed to be inserted in only one direction. This time, I am going to put in a serious warning on the Manual and Web Page saying that these Products are non-refundable and also, “You’re on your Own and if you screwed up, that’s on you” kind of thing. Ha ha.
