20250922 Razor Crest The Continuation

From a Land Far, Far, Away…

Oh, wow. My last update on this Project was in 20240217. And that’s more than one and a half years ago! And it was also the time of uncertainty due to a tribal scuffle resulting from a deteriorating papa. It was also the time where I had to slow everything down and sort of box stuff up, plan for the Future (again) and make sure the trusted are on board for another Exodus. I won’t admit it was traumatic nor but in my Heart, I was quite despondent because I know what will happen. From there on, I could only focus on picking up the pieces (hopefully for the last time) and moving on, turning my bitterness into just, you know, forcing indifference to all this.

Suddenly, here we are

And yeah, so here I am, exactly 584 days later, lying on the Couch in a new place where we do not have to worry about anything. I’m Happy but exhausted from the day’s events and more. What have I accomplished so far? I overcame the challenge of lighting the Tesla Trooper but with dismal results. The niche Blade Runner Project was finished and I’m not getting much from it. But at least, the Family Side is great as my Kids are now in College. So, I was mulling to either continue with the Fujimi Blade Runner and team up with a Friend or, kick away the dust from the Razor Crest. Then, from my Mobile Phone, this (below) happened. So, it’s decided then, which Project to continue ahead.

What got me to sprain my back from the sudden sitting up was that the Razor Crest is back!
There was an actress who ‘jumped’ franchise but this one was more important.

For me, the Razor Crest to Din Djarin is what the Millenium Falcon is to Han Solo. And although (to me) it is not canon, he did take it personally. As a Bounty Hunter, it was a more practical ship compared to the Naboo NT-1. We’ll know more about this as the Series land sometime soon. It’s still too early to tell about the new ship because the Trailer did not reveal much, except that my heart was beating fast.

From the Trailer, it looked like the previous ST-70 assault ship but with different yellow markings. This might mean that AMT and Revell will just have to only update the decal sheet.
The cockpit looked more or less the same too, and the silver ball is still there. This could be great news for those who are doing 3D upgrades, resin and photo-etch sets.

Picking up the pieces

I guess, I’ll have to re-start the Project again. In the last post, the ver 05 PCB had an issue which forced me to revise the design to ver. 05A before everything stopped. This is not what I’m looking forward to as I need to find everything again after the Move. It’s like eating the Dessert 10 minutes after gorging on the Main Course.

This is version 05A, which was re-designed because of some shorting. I’ll have to fire up my soldering iron again to test this board soon.
This is the ‘roadmap’ of how to light the Razor Crest. So far, I have done the PCBs for the Engines, the Cargo Sidewalls, the Front nose and the Main Board. I just have test the last two, that is if I can find them again in the mountain of boxes in the room. Ha ha.
