There are two ICs (Intergrated Circuits) which I followed from my being a Student and even right now. This was because of Star Trek: The Next Generation Tricorders which I discovered to be using the 555 and 4017 ICs. I also dabbled with Logic Gates but that stopped when I ventured into micro-controllers.
