Where have I seen this before?
The year is 2026 and suddenly, this 1/35 MBT scale model came out and it looked very familiar. At first, I thought it was the new US Abrams but there was something familiar yet different. I have not seen any double-barreled Tank in 1/35th scale. Then it hit me. It was Bandai’s 1/35th Semovente from the E.F.G.F Anime series!
This model was introduced sometime in 2009 under the U.C. Hargraph banner; Bandai’s venture into 1/35th Scale, in the hopes of getting the Military Scale Modelers interested. To sweeten the deal, Bandai included some very great mix into each Model. examples such as the Blood Hound in the E.F.G.F. MS [G] Platoon Briefing Set, a 1/35th Zaku Head in the Rambal Ram Commando Set and a Gundam Hand in the E.F.G.F Anti MS Squad Set. I did have some but the Semovente somehow turned out to be quite elusive. When I did not have the funds, it was everywhere.
Here comes UMONSAMON (aka US Model)
This is the very company which did the Third-Party 1/60th (huge) RG-79 Ball ver. ka and now, the Type61A5 is their latest effort. If you look at the images below, where you own the original Bandai or not, you’d be very impressive with the details this bootleg has to offer.
