When I was a Kid, I had a brief encounter with Micronauts. They were weird with silver reflective heads, tiny hands and translucent body which I was afraid they might snap. Still, they were much better than GI Joes because mine had problems with their torso always turning backwards. It was not until about forty years later, did I find out they were the basis for ma.K’s design and figures hence the 1/20th scale which was usually reserved for F1 or racing cars.
As a Kid, I missed out on my favourites which was the Space Glider and Time Traveler (I thought it glowed like in the picture but the package did not indicate how andonly had a ‘L’ plastic piece which I surmised was to stick to his back), the Pharoid was the next best thing. Except I could not fathom how Egyptians were involved. Anyway, the Pharoid had a very short life while its sarcophagus lasted much longer since I was just a… kid.
The Micronauts were re-released every now and then and as always, I missed out, even on the Material Force series. Anyway, this popped up on my Chinese B2C Platform and are available as pre-order for either USD14.37 Deposit or a full payment of USD78.89.
