By you you will be flooded with the news that there are two Yamato 2199 related items coming out in June from Bandai. Already Ami-Ami and HLJ have set up the pages for pre-orders. The first is a 1/12 robot called the Analyzer (http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?scode=TOY-RBT-3713) while the second, which interests me a lot are the Yamato’s Hangar Bay. The price of Analyzer is half of the Hangar Bay.
The Hangar bay only exist for the 1/1000 model and now, customers who bought the bigger 1/500 Yamato 2199 will be very happy indeed.
In the meantime, here are the images from the Ami-ami site sans watermark. After staring at it for quite some time, I was hoping the ends of the hangar bay was round and the platforms can be swung so that anyone can put a motor & gears inside to rotate it with the platforms swinging in balance.
Do I still want it now? Well, I am not too sure as in the first place, I don’t even have enough funds to get the 1/500 Yamato. So, I guess I’ll just have to take my chances.
