Sometimes, or rather, in the end, the cheapest solution always win. This is the problem when I think too much and thought that better stickers will give me a peace of mind. Better usually also means more expensive. Over the last few months, I searched and read about the PVC stickers which are waterproof and tearproof.
The new stickers also came with a new set of problems. First, they need a smooth and non-porous surface. And then, I guess, a much better laser printer. The print quality looks smudged and well, every piece curled up overnight. Maybe if I print it with inkjet, it might solve the curling issue but I will also have to get another PVC set which is good for inkjets. So, calling them a fail, I got some normal paper based stickers instead.
And it worked wonders, except that if you scratched them hard, the toner will come off. But there is one nagging thing. Even I have taken into account the 4mm to 5mm unprintable print borders, some of the lines are not visible. Yeah, since this is a sticker, I can just use “Sized to Fit” option.
However, for the Tricorder Labels in another project, the printout was perfect. Then again, they are Professionals.
