The one thing which worries me when I get stuff shipped is that no one is there to accept them on my behalf. In the past, it was not so much of an issue since the places I worked at would have someone to do it. But nowadays, with me Job hopping more than ever before, it was much safer to get them sent to the house. I always buy stuff that are small and easily slipped into the letterbox. But with big items, in most cases, they need to be signed for. I won’t digress much but at the end of the day, coming home to see a while slip means no one was there to help me when the delivery came.
Luckily for me in this case, the uncollected parcel was withheld at the local Post office for seven days and they’re just about 20 minutes walk away. And they pen at eight n the morning which means I can just drop by before work. So far so good but in the past, it meant having to take the day off, drive about 57Km away, donate 10% of the item’s value to the Kastams, drive another 57Km back and hide it from the Wife. Sadly, come April 1st, we would be required to cough up that 10% regardless if the total value was under or over RM500.
And this little monitor will tell you which facility is available. Or not.
Which I then promptly left it there overnight.
