If anyone is familiar with Michael Fictenmayer’s Industria Mechanika, they would surely come across this model, The HPR719 Hopper. Back then, those resin kits were amazing and so was his concept of paying other Artists for their work to be sold through his shop. Concept models such as Derek Stenning’s Dystopic, Ian McQue’s Remora and even Tecco Toy’s (Michael Herm) all started from there. Sadly, most of them also ended up in the area where their work are for naught.
Derek Stenning’s work for Dystopic is amazing. His figures are quite hard to get since they’re always out of stock. Big and nice, they’re admittedly a great conversation starter and with some lighting effect, they are a masterpiece.
Ian McQue’s design on these crafts are so beautiful, depicting a World where the main transportation could very well be airborne. I could not get hold of this model which was always sold out and so, I compromised with his floating buoy, called the Sky Mark.
Michael Herm’s Tecco Toys are the closest thing you can get if you loved StarCom toys. But for me, these 1/35th Scale figures are best. Throughout the years, he has been promoting them and at one time, did made an error of giving out the 3D files for free. Now, sadly, it has ended up in a more industrious place they are being sold as printed product.
