More than 5 years ago, not many in the Electronics and Scale Modeling Hobby have heard nor had the chance to use UV curing glue. Even if they did, it was not transparent, expensive and well, limited. But now, it is so common and you can literally enter any Mobile Phone supplier store and get what you need. But for the Scale Modeling Hobby, they would have to go to their soecialist store since the items from the former are more of less house in Industrial Packaging.
As of 2025, there are various types of UV Curing glues and stuff, from PCB protection (solder mask) to the actual glue. To be frank, I am not too sure about the #3182 but seeing the images kinda convinced me that this could be a strong glue which turns transparent when fully cured.
The image (and others from that page) literally said this non-yellowing, water & moisture resistant, strong bonding glue can be used to ‘fix’ (secure?) chips and components, protects solder joints, reinforce cables and even flexible PCB. I need to see for myself if just hardens when cured or, goes slightly soft.
The Problem with ordering from TaoBao is that they will ship their stuff to a Central Warehouse and most of the time, they do not ship to you directly. When I bought this UV Glue #3182 & its extruder and paid for everything, I forgot that I need to wait for the stuff to arrive at the said Warehouse which, with additional payment, will then ship to me. So yeah, I let the stuff sit in there for 24 days before remembering about it. Once that was settled, it came in just under 10 days. There is a message on the upper left corner…
Which says, the UV Glue #3182 is inside.
The contents (from top to bottom) The extruder plastic rod, the extruder, the UV Glue and its 2x nozzles.
Putting all of them together is easy and it only took me less than 30 seconds to figure it out. But I will only do this once I am at my Works Table.
