I wanted to test this Mirrokote U258 paper as it looks so good. The print result is quite clear and crispy on its slightly glossy, yet silky surface. But there is one problem. As I lifted one corner of the paper, I gave it a small tear for you know, fun.

And it tears quite easily. The follow up tear is ever worse and so, the worrying part is that it will definitely not survive if you transfer it to the Tricorder by hand. But, I have seen a method which is used by people dealing with pre-cut vinyls. They use a transfer tape to stick the wanted pieces on, then you just stick to the target. But sometimes, this tape would get too tacky and it might tear up this Mirrorkote. The vinyl transfer tape come by the name of, “Vinyl Transfer Tape’.

So, I am going to wait for the other labels to arrive and then see which nearest printing shop would accept the test print request

On the left is the Mirrokote paper which I printed wrongly because the settings did not follow the 100% scale. On the right is the normal A4 70gsm paper.
The Mirrokote sticker tear easily
The paper tears easily and it will not survive the blade cuttings. It tears more easily than the normal 70gsm paper.
