First of all, I have to apologise to Bacta (not gonna tell you his real name) for the delay. It was just a simple soldering to put in a taller 5mm LED into the PCB. However, most of the components were exhausted, I had to order more. Then when all is done, the same thing happened with the packaging and what came after, was some sub-par quality which strong enough to withstand a 10 feet throw. Finally I have to wait for the next window of opportunity (where I got sick) to be able to get the f down to my Friend’s Company who will expedite the shipping.
How did it go?
Well, here is his response with the Instagram Video. This was a special order because we both needed to know if the whole System could fit into other BR Blasters apart from the AnderFP 3D version. Although I have designed it to be more flexible but the main issue would be the slide switch and the bottom LED which determines the outcome. In his tests, he managed to modify it to fit into the OEM Mannlicher Model SL Steyr Mag and also the Takagi water gun. But not the any of the Tomenosuke Blasters which we’re hoping it could. I have to admit that it is my fault for failing to secure a Tomenosuke but then again, the Laws in Malaysia are quite strict be it a prop, replica, custom, airsoft, paintball etc. As long as it looks like a Gun or anything that resembles one, you better have a License and even that, be very, very careful esp when Cosplaying in a Public Are or Event. No point getting arrested or worse, getting shot over some plastic or worse, getting them cut up to see if these are real or not. Sorry, Iwent off into ranting mode again.
The next point is that the green LEDs were too bright. Again, that’s on me because I have never seen it lit up in the movie. So I just reduced it to about 7.5mA hoping for a compromise and letting the Customers dim it down with paint but it is still too bright. Moreover, I am not too sure about the shade of the unlit green LED as I do not have a vintage LED to refer to.
The LiPo Battery size
Originally, one can fit a LiPo battery of a certain size as there is enough space horizontally. However, the AndersFP 3D file allows for magnets which means you can remove (interchange) the ammo clip as an when you want. This is where I soldered a flashing 1.5kHz LED so that it looks… functional. Of course, to make it more realistic, you might want to cover every thing with a detailed sheet. So, operations wise, you can unclip the Ammo Clip (with orange flashing LED) and insert a Ghost version (with White flashing LED).
Where to get them?
You can get them here, (PKD2019 and Ghost) and also, you can download the Manual plus the 3D file of the switch.
