20221231 There are… four lights!

There is nothing much I can do as most of the components won’t be arriving until February. So, I tested my v3.0 board with whatever components I have for the time being. Right off the bat, I realised that I missed one crucial power rail and so, after some re-wiring, it worked. This also means the PCB is now going to have v4.0…

This was how bright the engines were and I was just using 4 WHITE LEDs running at 150mA each. So, yeah, I need to turn it down further and use a microcontroller to dim it even further.

This is how the engine looked with the fifth LED (Warm White) lit.
I might still want to go ahead with soldering the LED rings and the remaining other LEDs. But at this moment, it looked kinda OK already.
Let me tone this down a little and you can see the insides of the Engine which comprises of 5 LEDs. So, in 2023, I will be able to change the colours from WHITE to WARM WHITE.
So, despite the silver plastic, you will still need to light-block the model.
