OK, these boards are more or less done with the prototype design stage. In the last revision, everything worked out nicely. But this time, I will go over the designs again because I was quite busy and literally forgot there I left off. Just some more last minute revisions and it’s off to JLCPCB!

There are TWO Boards

About two months ago, I have decided to create two versions of the Board after I saw a little bit of the Ghost Blaster (which is white but does not exist in the Blade Runner movie). I can cram three lighting effects/ sequence into one chip and use a selector switch to access all three modes. This would mean an additional switch and another pull-down resistor. After thinking much about it, I decided to come up with two separate boards; Black for the PKD2019 and White for the Ghost. I mean, if your Blaster is White, its nice to have a white PCB. Seriously, it so that I can separate the 1.5Hz blinking into two colours of orange and white.

Physically, both boards are the same. They just have difference programs inserted into the microcontroller and also, difference LEDs. The normal PKD2019 will have Red LEDs while the Ghost would use Ice Blue LEDs. The boards have gone through many revisions so that it now not only uses the 3.7v Lithium Polymer (LiPo) batteries, it might be possible to fit into other Blasters as long as the measurements are almost the same as the AndersFP 3D files.

Both boards are the same and the only difference is that the Ghost version would be white. The two boards looks identical but with some subtle differences.
This is roughly how the PKD2019 version looks like. It uses red LEDs and has an orange blinking LED. The PCB will be Black in colour.
The Ghost board would be in White, uses Ice Blue LEDs, have a white blinking LED and comes with some Blade Runner names. Oh, because the LEDs comes with clear lens, you might want to sand them to have that diffused effect.
