Whelp, it’s almost a month since the Chinese New Year and most of the parts I have ordered are starting to arrive. It takes anywhere between 4 to 8 weeks for the items to arrive and by then, I kinda lose steam on the projects. Sure, there are other ways such as paying more for the shipping but it only shaves a few days off.
THE LED SPACER
I wanted to extend the middle 5mm warm-white LED from the board and higher into the clear part. So, these spacers are a great help. Not only that, it helps to make sure the LED is positioned as straight as possible.
SCREWLESS SPRING TERMINALS
The Razor Crest definitely needs these so you do not have to solder stuff. Much.
There are about 6 wires from each engines going to the main PCB. Each engines slots into the main body via the rectangular slots. And the only way for the wires to come through would be to cut some plastic, assuming they have been soldered to the main PCB.
The solution for this is to tread the wires from the engines into the main body and then insert them into the spring terminals.
THERE WILL BE A VERSION 4
This is because the Terminals are not sitting properly on the board and I have miscalculated their footprint. It’s nothing serious though since the issues are minor but it really a hell of a nag.
IN THE MEANTIME
I am still fine-tuning the program for the lighting and so, it’s gonna take a while before I get everything working. I am very sure I would need to work on the board one more time, hence the version 4.
