During a discussion with one of my Friends, we touched on the subject of the white wire located on the left side of the blaster. In the olden days, it was thought to be something else but now, we know what it was. After close to two decades, the original Blaster was revealed at Worldcon and the white details were actually a set of four white wires. These are presumably to light the pair of green LEDs but was cut off. So, this means, logically, the two green LEDs were never lit at all. If you need to see them, you can download the photos from Karl Tate. These images took the Blade Runner fans by surprised and this led the frenzy to accurize their Blasters to match the what we call, the Worldcon Blaster.

What has it got to do with me?

Even from long ago, I do know the green LEDs were never lit. While I was researching the lighting for the Spinner, I did happen to come across most of the Blaster scenes and they did confirm this fact. Still, while creating the circuit for the Ammo Clip, I did add the option to connect and light the two green LEDs. However, they would not be given the full 20mA treatment but only half the current so that the green light does not become too distracting.
