The transparent heat-shrink tubing has arrived and this means, I can complete the testing of this Charger. The heat-shrink not only minimises shorting but also, updates the User on the status of the charge; red for charging and green for complete.
I got some heat-shrinks to test on the Charger Board. So far, so good. But the actual ones would be transparent. I wanted these but none of the electronic shops are open on Sunday, a day when I am actually free.
Almost two weeks later, the transparent one came and I began my testing again.
The heat-shrink size is 16mm, which I think, is a good fit. And the charger uses LEDs as indicator as unfortunately, there is no facility for a speaker to give the sound of, ‘Bing!’
Finally, the Charger board is a go. Here, it was charging and moments later, the green LED came on, indicating that battery is fully charged.
