20240915 The Masking Tape Cutter from Trumpeter

I got this tool many years ago but never did open it until now, mainly because there was no space in my cluttered Works Table in the previous place. This I think, would be a great tool since I keep misplacing masking tapes all over the place.

I got this for less than RM50.00 during a Sale at CKTanPlamodelShop. The simple concept of holding multiple rolls of masking tape in one place, I think originated from the cellophane tape holder.
The plastics were molded in lighter version of Petronas Green. It also has extra pieces should you want to connect to more than one masking tape holder. What I liked was how the main cylinder was locked into place with two round covers within the solid frame.
So, there you have it. It’s kinda fun and convenient. I remembered that while I was in the store, the same company also sells ‘accessories’ to complete the making tape holder such as additional spools and frame. OK, I am not supposed to use these separators but the tapes I have do fit snugly. Maybe I should get some cylinders as actual separators. This is because I presume different masking tape manufacturers have different paper core sizes.

So, there you have it. Although the ‘kit’ has a metal base and a strip of 3M rubber to prevent it from slipping about, I might want to add more weight to it. Plus, I have to keep a pair of scissors nearby since I might not want to use the jagged teeth cutters.
